Ana Rivera received her electrical and mechanical engineering bachelor’s degree from the Technological University of Panama (UTP). Before joining MIT as a PhD student, she worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at UTP, and as a research assistant at the Research Group on Energy and Comfort in Bioclimatic Buildings. Ana’s research interests include renewable energy integration, grid resiliency and reliability, and machine learning applications in power systems.
