Hiya Gada completed her bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, specializing in systems and control engineering, from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Her bachelor’s thesis focused on optimal control and state estimation for non-linear systems. As a sustainability enthusiast, she is interested in applying her control and optimization background to work on current problems in power grids and renewable energy integration. Outside of research, she further participates in this effort as the GSC Sustainability Co-Chair at MIT. In her free time, she enjoys singing, playing the keyboard, and making music.
