Phineas Nyang’oro received a bachelor’s in physics and a bachelor’s in electrical engineering with a concentration in renewable electric energy systems from North Carolina Central University and North Carolina State University, respectively. Before starting his PhD in EECS he previously worked as an electrical engineering intern at Idaho National Laboratory under the department of homeland security, working with their renewable wind energy team to perform dynamic line rating calculations. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games, composing, and working out.
