George Wenzel is a first-year graduate student in the System Design and Management (SDM) program at MIT. He holds a master’s in Electrical Engineering and a bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. With nine years of experience in the energy sector—six of them at ENGIE in Belgium and Chile—he has focused on energy market modeling, portfolio management, strategic studies, and sustainability consulting. He has co-authored four energy papers with over 500 collective citations. Outside of class, George enjoys traveling, music, touch rugby, and hiking.
