Hiya Gada

Hiya Gada completed her bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, specializing in systems and control engineering, from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Her bachelor’s thesis focused on optimal control and state estimation for non-linear systems. She aims to apply her control and optimization background to work on current problems in power grids. Her research lies in unified cooperative control for power system stability with high penetration of inverter-based resources (IBRs) in the grid. She is also a Community and Education Co-Vice President at the MIT Energy and Climate club. In her free time, she enjoys singing, playing the keyboard, and making music.
