Luis C. Velasquez Mansilla
Luis Carlos is a PhD student in EECS. Before MIT, he worked on robotics for subsistence farming in Central America. He then shifted to the energy sector, co-founding a company that provides maintenance and operation of power assets in Latin America and the Caribbean. His current interests lie at the intersection of energy equity and the technical challenges of implementing renewable energy in small island countries. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, and an MBA from MIT Sloan.
