Marija Ilic attended the MathWorks Research Summit, an invitation-only event that took place on June 17-18, 2025. She participated in the panel on AI for Sustainability and Renewable Energy. During her time on the panel, s

he provided critical insights on the challenges that exist in attaining a decarbonized energy future while also ensuring grid reliability.

Here, Marija Ilic is picture with Harvard University Professor Le Xie, featured speaker on the topic of AI and Power Systems Initiative (PAI), and Dr. Akshay Rajhans, General Chair of the Summit.  Both men are former graduate students from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU).
