Oscar Hellmüller is a graduate visiting researcher at MIT coming from Switzerland. He is currently completing a master’s degree at EPFL in the faculty of Electrical Engineering, specializing in energy science. His research interests focus on power system stability in grids with high shares of inverter-based resources, particularly under low-inertia and fast dynamics. He is interested in applying optimization and control methods to challenges at the intersection of system operation and electricity markets, and in using data analysis to support reliable, data-driven grid operation.
